Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty gave up their early gains to trade flat on Friday. At 3:05 pm, Sensex was at 82,916.87, down 45.84 points or 0.06 per cent. Nifty was at 25,356.90, down 32.00 points or 0.13 per cent lower. Stocks advanced on BSE at 3 pm with 2,484 advancing against 1,454 stocks that declined, and 111 remained unchanged. Total stocks traded were 4,049. The number of stocks that recorded a 52-week high was 321, and those that hit a 52-week low was 27. Earlier, the markets opened at record highs on Friday, buoyed by positive global cues and expectations of interest rate cuts by central banks. The Sensex opened at 83,091.55, while the Nifty started the day at 25,430.45, both surpassing their previous all-time highs. The rally was driven by strong buying interest from foreign institutional investors (FIIs), who purchased equities worth ₹7,695 crore on Thursday, marking the second-highest single-day buying in 2024. Domestic institutional investors also contributed with purchases of ₹1,800 crore.
