Andrew Garfield is set to make his big-screen return with the upcoming romantic comedy We Live in Time, releasing on January 1, 2025. This marks his first film since his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. The movie, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2024, has already garnered attention for Garfield’s highly anticipated comeback.
In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Garfield reflected on his break from the industry and the renewed perspective he’s bringing to his work. “I feel looser, I feel less precious, I feel more joyful,” Garfield shared. “I feel more aware. I feel established enough as a person in the world, as an actor within myself and within the world. I know myself well enough now to feel more enjoyment.”
The actor’s upcoming projects also include The Magic Faraway Tree, where he will star alongside Claire Foy and Nicola Coughlan, and After the Hunt, directed by Luca Guadagnino, where he shares the screen with Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri. While these films are still awaiting release dates, Garfield’s fans are excited to see him back in action.
After taking a well-deserved sabbatical, Garfield is now ready to embrace his passion for acting with a renewed sense of joy and fulfillment.
