Vemal-Soori's Badava Set for October Release After Long Post-Production

After an extended period of post-production, the much-anticipated Vemal and Soori starrer Badava has finally secured a release window. The makers announced on Wednesday that the film will hit screens in October, though the exact release date is yet to be confirmed.

Badava’s trailer, which was released over a year ago, offered a glimpse into the film’s plot. Vemal and Soori play carefree troublemakers in their village, but their characters undergo a transformation when they decide to fight against a brick kiln owner. The villain encourages the cultivation of Seemai Karuvelam trees, known for severely depleting groundwater, to fuel his kiln. The story seems to center around the villagers’ resistance to this environmental threat and their fight for justice.

In addition to Vemal and Soori, the film features Shrita Rao, KGF Ram, Devadarshini, Namo Narayanan, and Senthil in key roles. Badava is written and directed by KV Nandha and produced by M John Peter under the banner of J Studio International. Interestingly, Peter also doubles as the film’s music composer, bringing a unique touch to the production.

The technical crew includes editor Vinoth Kanna, cinematographer Ramalingam, art director Saravana Abiraman, choreographers Dinesh, Sreedhar, and Dheena, and stunt choreographer ‘Siruthai’ Ganesh, ensuring a visually engaging and dynamic film.

Fans of Vemal and Soori are eagerly awaiting Badava’s release, and it promises to be a gripping tale of transformation, resistance, and the fight for a better future.
